Late Dr. G N S Reddy
Rooted in an unwavering commitment to uplifting rural communities, Dr. G N S Reddy harnessed his veterinary expertise and Gandhian principles to revolutionize the field of agriculture. His transformative contributions through the Bharatiya Agro Industries Foundation (BAIF) encompassed a wide spectrum, spanning animal husbandry, forestry, and watershed management. As the visionary founder of Akshayakalpa, India’s largest organic dairy, and the trailblazing ‘FarmConnect,’ he became a catalyst for local production and sustainability, ultimately transforming the landscape of small-scale farming livelihoods.
With a profound reverence for natural well-being, Dr. Reddy’s journey was inspired by the principles of iconic figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Vinoba Bhave, who championed grassroots rural development. Guided by their legacies, he kindled a fervor for village reconstruction and a deep affinity for animals, leading him to pursue veterinary sciences at the University of Veterinary Sciences, Bangalore.
His association with the eminent Gandhian, Dr. Manibhai Desai, saw him contribute dedicatedly at BAIF for over three decades. In tandem with BAIF’s animal husbandry initiatives, Dr. Reddy’s innovative spirit catalyzed initiatives in forestry, irrigation, and watershed management, resonating with the Gandhian ethos.
Driven by this philosophy, Dr. Reddy pioneered the groundbreaking concept of Akshayakalpa, India’s largest organic dairy, exemplifying localized production and sustainability while embracing modern technologies. His ethos culminated in the establishment of ‘FarmConnect’ in 2017, an initiative that continues to fulfill his aspiration of creating sustainable livelihoods for small-scale farmers. Through the company, he introduced certified organic dairy products, further enriching the legacy of a visionary who seamlessly blended tradition and innovation.

Hailing from a farmer’s family, Murthy’s profound connection with the soil and mother earth has been ingrained since his early years. Driven by an unwavering passion, he envisions a revolutionary transformation of agriculture through the seamless integration of transformative digital technologies like Robotics, AI, IoT, and 5G/6G—all while adhering to the highest ethical standards. His ultimate mission is to rejuvenate depleted soil and water, restoring them to their natural state and nurturing mother nature.
